Orange is the New Black star Lea DeLaria is set to marry fashion editor Chelsea Fairless on Jan. 8, 2017. Although we know that the ladies of Litchfield are invited to the nuptials, DeLaria told PEOPLE that some of her OITNB costars have more active roles in the wedding.
“We know that Uzo is going to be singing at the wedding. She said yes,” the 57-year-old actress said of Uzo Aduba at the 67th Emmy Awards Governors Ball on Sunday. ” Chelsea and I both love Uzo’s voice and the way she sings, so it was sort of a no-brainer to ask her to sing at the wedding.”
A new face to the Orange clan will appear in the wedding, too: Lori Petty, who plays Lolly Whitehall in the Netflix original series). DeLaria said the 51-year-old actress will be a flower girl.
But wait, there’s more – Emma Myles, who introduced the couple, will be in the wedding as well.
It seems DeLaria’s costars have played quite a role in Big Boo’s love life both on and off the screen.
“Orange has really changed my life in a lot of ways,” she said.
But in perhaps the most bittersweet of her wedding revelations, DeLaria recently revealed the meaning behind the wedding date. Jan. 8 marks the wedding anniversary of her late parents, DeLaria said on The View last month.
