ELIN: HOUSE HUNTING
Nearly six months after her divorce, Elin Nordegren, 31, has made good on her intention to keep the kids close to their dad. She’s been looking at homes in South Florida-not far from Woods’ Jupiter Island estate, says a source close to her. For now, she and the children are living (with no nanny and only a part-time housekeeper) in their rental home in Orlando, where she continues to pursue her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Adds the source: “She’s moving on.”
Woods can play tennis-or basketball-on his own courts. Local real estate agent Jeff Lichtenstein, who has taken aerial shots of the spread, likens it to “a mini Olympic Village.”
If the self-described Buddhist needs a Zen moment, he need only turn to his reflecting pool, personal oxygen-therapy room or roughly 5,700-sq.-ft. indoor fitness center.
A source calls the state-of-the-art security system “a modern-day James Bond lockdown.” Privacy-enhancing landscaping, including imported palms and exotic plants, stays lush via a sophisticated irrigation system.
Woods can go for a dip in this 100-ft. lap pool, practice his form in a diving pool or splash around with tots Sam, 3, and Charlie, 2, in the kiddie pool.
Now on the PGA tour, Woods can keep fit during the off-season by timing sprints on this custom-built track. The estate, Lichtenstein says, is in part “a personal training facility.”
The 12-acre property boasts a private four-hole course with sand traps and water views. Woods can also perfect his game at his indoor golf-training studio.
Two docks provide ample room for his two dive boats and 155-ft. yacht Privacy.
