KIM KARDASHIAN & KANYE WEST
OFF TO PARIS (WITHOUT THE BABY)
What a difference a few months – and a new baby – can make! The often surly Kanye West, 36, showed snippets of tenderness (smiling! laughing! PDA!) while squiring girlfriend Kim Kardashian, 32, around Paris during fashion week—the couple’s first trip away from their 3-month-old daughter North, who remained stateside. “They look good together now,” an insider says of the duo. “Five months ago, when they were in Paris, they didn’t act like a real couple. Now they have a body language that they didn’t have before North was born.”
A friend of Kardashian’s says the overseas jaunt, which is part business and part pleasure, is a way for them to spend one-on-one time before even busier months ahead: “Especially with Kanye’s tour coming up, they want to be together as much as they can.” (Not that he has anything against bonding with her big brood. “He’s actually having a good time with Kim’s family,” says the friend. “He gets along really well with them.”)
After arriving in France on Sept. 28, they immediately launched into a high-fashion whirlwind of runways, shopping and hobnobbing: They spent time with former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld and designer Stephane Rolland, stopped in at Hermès and attended pal Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy show in matching black outfits. (Tisci custom-made her fitted, cleavage-baring dress.) “Kim looked amazing,” says a show attendee. But how did the new mom feel about making her post-pregnancy style debut surrounded by waifish models and slim stars like Lily Collins and Ciara? “She has a bit to go [to lose the baby weight] but feels confident,” her friend says. “She’s feeling really good about herself.” As for West, he’s playing the part of supportive boyfriend well. “Kanye makes her feel good about her body,” the friend says. “He’s always complimenting her. They just work together.”
Robert Pattinson, 27, has been seeing model Dylan Penn, 22, “for a month or two,” according to a Pattinson source. Though the source says the Twilight star is “crazy” about Penn (the daughter of Sean Penn, 53, and Robin Wright, 47), another pal says that, less than five months after his split from Kristen Stewart, he still may not be ready to get serious: “Rob’s just dating around.”
After nearly 11 years of marriage, Richard Gere, 64, and Carey Lowell, 52, are separating. “Nothing dramatic happened,” a friend says of the couple, who have a 13-year-old son, Homer. (Sources say they have differing lifestyles.) “They simply grew apart,” says a pal. “But they will do everything they can to keep things as normal as possible for their son.”

FERGIE & ANDREW
Are Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew giving happily-ever-after another try? Amid British tabloid reports that the two might remarry, the Duchess of York, 53, said on Sept. 29 that Andrew, 53, was “still my handsome prince.” The famously friendly exes, who live on the same property in Berkshire, also paid a joint visit to the Queen’s estate in Scotland in August. But according to a Fergie pal, there is no romantic reunion in the works: “[Their relationship] has always been pretty unorthodox. They are a great unit and are great parents [to Beatrice, 25, and Eugenie, 23], but it’s not going to happen.”

CELEBRITY SORORITY SISTERS!
These female stars share some fun memories of their collegiate Greek life
“My favorite part was being in the rush skits, especially because I was the Olivia Newton-John character in Grease,” says the University of Virginia grad (left), 56.
“I lost my dad” while at Virginia Tech, says the Tri-Delt, 49 (center, in ’84). “Without my sorority sisters, I’m not sure how I would have made it through.”
Rice (left), 58, moved into the sorority house at the University of Denver senior year. “It was a huge step, though it was five minutes from my parents!”
“My little [sister in the sorority] was my maid of honor, and I was hers,” says the singer (in orange, in ’02), 30, a Sigma Sigma Sigma at Northeastern State University.
“This was taken on bid day,” says the Tri-Delt (center), 40, who left Vanderbilt in ’93 to model.
