FOR BREAKING CELEBRITY NEWS EVERY DAY
BABY ON THE WAY!
Holding hands while lunching at Maui’s Lahaina Fish Co. on March 28, Halle Berry and her fiancé of over a year, Olivier Martinez, 47, seemed blissfully “relaxed,” an onlooker tells Scoop, “and happy about something.” Overjoyed is more like it: On April 5 Berry’s rep confirmed that the 46-year-old actress is expecting her second child. “Halle is feeling great,” a source says. “This happened naturally. Everyone is really happy.” In the days after the news broke, with her beau in his native Paris for work, the actress seemed over-the-moon as she shopped at high-end New York City stores Jeffrey and Oak.
Over the same weekend, she also indulged her carb cravings, popping into a Manhattan Pick-a-Bagel twice in three days to get her bagel fix – cream cheese included. “She had the smallest bump,” an onlooker says. “You could barely see it.”
Five months after Berry settled a long, nasty custody battle with her model ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 37, over their daughter, Nahla, 5, friends say Berry needed the good news. Sources say the star had been trying to get pregnant for months: “She always talks about being a mom and definitely wanted this for a long time,” an insider says. According to Berry, Nahla too had been putting the pressure on for a little sib. “Every night we do our prayers,” Berry told talk show host Wendy Williams last November. “She says, ‘God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.'”
So will Nahla get her wish? On April 6, at a dinner for the U.N. World Food Programme in New York City, amid reports she’s having a boy, a radiant Berry played coy. Still, her baby joy was undeniable. “I feel fantastic,” she gushed to CNN. “This has been the biggest surprise of my life.”
‘DIVORCE IS NOT AN OPTION’
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert‘s busy careers may keep them apart–he’s taping The Voice in L.A.; she’s promoting her upcoming album with her group Pistol Annies – but Lambert, 29, won’t let distance (not to mention pesky tabloid rumors of his infidelity) come between them. “Like I always say … divorce is not an option,” Lambert said April 7 following her win at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards, where they celebrated a Song of the Year victory for her tune “Over You.” (Lambert scored three awards total.) “We really love each other and have a real marriage outside of [our careers].” One she envisions lasting into their golden years. “When it’s all said and done, we will be drinking a beer together on the front porch, reminiscing about the good ol’ days,” Lambert said. “That’s what I’m happy about.”
Beyoncé Knowles & JAY-Z
INSIDE THEIR TRIP to CUBA
Feliz Aniversario! Beyoncé, 31, and Jay-Z, 43, feted their fifth anniversary with a trip to Havana accompanied by their moms, Tina Knowles and Gloria Carter–and some controversy. During their brief stay, the group hit up the iconic La Guarida restaurant on April 3 for a two-hour dinner where “they were happy, relaxed and having fun,” says an observer. But their trip didn’t please everyone. Due to a U.S. embargo with the communist country, many Americans are prohibited from traveling there without approval from the Treasury department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, and two U.S. Representatives sent a letter calling for more info about the stars’ getaway. While reps for the singers didn’t respond to requests for comment, a source familiar with the trip told Reuters the two were “fully licensed.”

The star was vacationing at Richard Branson’s Caribbean home in 2011 when a fire broke out. She carried Branson’s 90-year-old mom to safety.
The rapper helped coax a suicidal Atlanta man off a ledge in 2010 after hearing about the man’s intentions live on the radio.
HEIDI KLUM, 39
On March 31, while vacationing in Hawaii, the supermodel pulled son Henry, 7, from the rough ocean surf and rescued two nannies.
RYAN GOSLING, 32
Strolling the streets of New York City last April, the actor saved a woman from oncoming traffic. He also broke up a street fight in 2011.
‘I SUPPORT MY SON’
THE NBA LEGEND SAYS HE IS “VERY PROUD” OF HIS GAY SON E.J.
After his son Earvin “E.J.” Johnson III was recently photographed holding hands with another young man in L.A., NBA icon Magic Johnson didn’t hesitate to voice his support. “We’ve known for a long time that my son E.J. was gay,” Johnson, 53, told TMZ, adding that he and his wife, Cookie, “are very proud of him.” Now Johnson hopes E.J. can lead by example. “This is going to be good for other black young people” wanting to come out, he says. “This is a good moment for us as a family and a greater moment for him.”
HOW SHE GOT HER NEW BODY
When she appeared at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Trisha Yearwood looked like she hit the weight-loss jackpot. “I haven’t had a potato in a while,” the Grammy winner and bestselling cookbook author told Scoop at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in February. “My food of choice is cabbage. I love to slice it up and broil it with some salt.” Also “Trisha stepped up her training routine by adding fun classes with her girlfriends in Oklahoma,” says her rep. As a result, Yearwood, 48, has dropped 20 lbs. But the star of the Food Network’s Trisha’s Southern Kitchen says she didn’t give up comfort food: “To me it’s about eating [healthy] most of the time and occasionally having the mac and cheese.”
