THE BACHELOR’S CHRIS HARRISON
Fans of the Bachelor franchise are used to couples calling it quits. But when host Chris Harrison, 40, announced that after 18 years he and his wife, Gwen, 40, were separating, it was a shock. Even this season’s bachelor Ben Flajnik, 29, tweeted he was “very surprised.” A source says, “There’s no scandal or infidelity,” despite a claim by contestant Rozlyn Papa, 31, in 2010 that Harrison hit on a crew member’s wife (which he denied). Still, the show may have been a factor. Traveling for weeks at a time “is tough,” Harrison, who has two children with Gwen, has said. As for talk he’ll swap hosting for a shot at being the Bachelor: “That’s nonsense,” an insider says.
THE ACTRESS MAKES NEWS (AGAIN) FOR HER FOURTH DRIVING MISHAP-IN FOUR WEEKS
A month after colliding with a police car in West Hollywood and being arrested on suspicion of DUI, Amanda Bynes, who remains uncharged, is at the center of a new driving mishap. The actress, 26, sideswiped a truck with her Range Rover on May 4 and kept going, prompting the other driver to call 911. Police say Bynes was cooperative and showed no indication she was under the influence. She was not charged with hit-and-run, and police added the damage “was so minor, it’s plausible she had no idea she hit anyone.”
He’s delighting millions as Iron Man in The Avengers, but these days the actor, 47, is only interested in one reaction: that of his 3-month-old son, Exton Elias. “You look at him and just hope he smiles,” he told PEOPLE. Downey, whose older son Indio is 18, “loves walking around holding Exton at home,” adds a pal.

She is so happy.” While Simpson, 31, who is nursing, is “tired and recovering,” the pal says the star loves dressing her mini-me-who has inherited Mom’s cheekbones and nose-in “different outfits every second!” Take a peek at what’s inside Maxwell’s nursery:
