HOW I DRESS JENNIFER LAWRENCE
For the Hunger Games press tour, stylist Elizabeth Stewart took a cue from Lawrence’s character. “I think we subconsciously channeled Katniss-her fearlessness and strength is reflected in Jen’s choices.” Jen’s favorite? “The gold Prabal Gurung. We worked with him after Winter’s Bone-so there is a special history.”
“This Prabal Gurung was Jen’s immediate and only choice for the first premiere,” she says of the March 12 look in L.A. “She loved it and couldn’t wait to put it on.”
“I love how Jen brings a sleek minimalist design to life!” says Stewart of this Calvin Klein frock at a March 21 screening in N.Y.C.
BACK IN BLACK
“This Tom Ford dress sums up the look we were going for: clean, strong, sexy,” she says of the Paris premiere, March 15.
For a March 26 event in Madrid, Stewart paired a Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress and Brian Atwood booties-“Jen liked the ease and the slightly mod feel.”
GIRL ON FIRE
The red Marchesa on March 16 in Berlin echoes a red dress she wears onscreen. Stewart says it’s “the girliest Jen will get!”
WHITNEY HOUSTON’S FINAL MOMENTS
1 What really killed her: drugs or her atherosclerotic heart disease?
A combination of both, which led to her accidental drowning in the bathtub. According to Dr. Gregg Fonarow, professor of cardiovascular medicine at UCLA, “If you have this disease, cocaine can lead to a rupture of the plaque [in the artery] and cause a heart attack.”
2 What drugs were found in her room?
A small amount of prescription drugs, according to coroners. No comment was made about illegal drugs being found, but at some point after her death, a Houston source says, “everything was cleared out of the room [by a member of her entourage], down to the pillowcases and sheets.”
3 Was she ever drug-free?
“She did both outpatient and inpatient rehabs,” says a close family source. “But it was a daily struggle.”
CAMERON STEWART’S FILM DEBUT!
Kristen Stewart‘s big brother Cameron is making his acting debut in K-11, a prison drama written and directed by their mother, Jules, 58, due out later this year. Cameron, 26, worked as a production grip for five years before moving in front of the camera for his role as Sledgehammer, a neo-Nazi in an L.A. prison ward. “My mom kind of wrote the part based on me,” says Stewart, who already had a Mohawk. “Not because I’m a tweaker [a drug addict], but because I’m skinny. So I guess she was going for the whole skinny-Mohawk-neo-Nazi thing.” Acting in the first project directed by his mother, a longtime script supervisor, proved to be a bonding experience for the pair. “You have a solid support base when you’re at work,” he says. “This put us out of our element together. I feel closer with my mom, a camaraderie.” Nor was he terribly nervous. “I had a lot of fun doing it,” he adds. “And if my sister can do it, then I thought I could do it.”
ALICIA KEYS’ N.Y.C. CONDO FOR SALE
Alicia Keys, 32, and husband Swizz Beatz, 33, bought their five-bedroom, four-bath, 6,167-sq.-ft. SoHo triplex from Lenny Kravitz, 47, in 2010 for $14.5 million. Now they’re ready to sell. A source tells Scoop, “They want more privacy and space.”
The dining room seats 16-24 guests. “You can have a cocktail party for 100 at the home easily,” says their real-estate agent Eric Malley, of Sotheby’s International.
The living room features a print of the singer Sade and a Keith Haring piece next to a marble fireplace.
The private roof is one of four outdoor spaces and has central sound and a built-in gas grill.
A floating stairwell connects the three floors and leads to the bedrooms. The master suite has a steam room.
The Ducati bike is actually an art installation in the foyer, which doubles as their gallery.
