LIAM NEESON DATING AGAIN
A year and a half after a skiing accident ended the life of his 45-year-old wife, Natasha Richardson, the Taken star is cautiously reentering the dating world. Scoop has confirmed that Neeson, 58, is seeing London PR exec Freya St. Johnston, who, like Neeson, is a single parent of two. The pair were holding hands as they left dinner in London (a source says they’ve known each other for years). Neeson’s priority remains his kids, “keeping up their routine and [being] the best father he can be,” says a source. Things are proceeding slowly with St. Johnston. Quips a pal: “I hope she likes fly-fishing!”
BRITNEY & THE BODYGUARD
This isn’t quite the singer-bodyguard romance Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner made famous in their movie. A real-life drama unfolded Sept. 8 with a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Britney Spears‘ former bodyguard Fernando Flores who alleges the pop star made “unwanted sexual advances” during the few months he worked for her this year. Among the more outrageous claims, Flores alleges Spears threatened to fire him for not serving a Slurpee on time. Her rep dismissed him as a fame-seeker, adding that the Department of Children and Family Services found no wrongdoing. Flores is suing for unspecified damages.
Congrats-and a baby shower-are in order for Penelope Cruz. Sept. 12 photos from the Puerto Rican set of the Pirates of the Caribbean sequel show the actress, 36, with a noticeable bump-and the couple’s reps have confirmed that she’s 4½-months along. Cruz wed fellow Spaniard Javier Bardem in July and has said of motherhood: “I want it to be my best project in life.”
BACK ON TRACK
Dating again, talking again and visiting each other-again!
After dating for a year and splitting in August, a source confirms Miley Cyrus, 17, and Liam Hemsworth, 20, are back on. They were spotted grabbing grub (and smooching!) on Sept. 11.
Despite reports that Jennifer Aniston, 41, showed at a recent John Mayer show, a rep for the rocker, 32, says that’s “false.” But, the exes remain good pals. Says a source: “They never stopped talking.”
BRISTOL’S DANCING WOES
What are Bristol Palin’s chances on Dancing with the Stars? Mark Ballas says his partner “needs to work on moving her hips” and “be sexy” on the dance floor. Palin, 19, is also dealing with reports that she’s a diva. “Not true,” a show source tells SCOOP. “She’s very sweet.”
KELLY OSBOURNE ‘I DIDN’T GO ON A DIET’
It only takes one look at the former Dancing with the Stars contestant to guess she didn’t just cut out carbs. “I changed everything,” she explained at the Betsey Johnson fashion show in New York City on Sept. 13. “There is no such thing as a diet because the minute you stop you just gain it back again. I don’t eat the same way I used to.” Osbourne, 25, credits her 18-month-long weight-loss journey to a half hour of cardio a day, eliminating carbonated drinks, portion control and essentially making smarter food choices. “Everyone keeps saying to me, ‘What’s your secret?’ The secret is there is no damn secret! Eat healthy, work out. That’s it.”
TV SIBLINGS, REAL-LIFE LOVE!
Lauren Graham & Peter Krause
Pals for 15 years before coupling up, the pair-Parenthood siblings-at first kept their romance secret. Recently, Graham, 43, called her relationship with Krause, 45, “easy.”
Jennifer Carpenter & Michael C. Hall
Carpenter, 30, stood by her Dexter costar Hall, 39, during his recent cancer battle. So she should-the pair wed in December 2008.
David Henrie & Selena Gomez
Despite being seen recently sharing a cozy dinner with her Wizards of Waverly Place onscreen bro, 21, Gomez, 18, denies rumors she’s dating him, says her rep.
STAND UP TO CANCER
A Hollywood dream team joined forces at Sony Studios in L.A. Sept. 10 to show support for Stand Up to Cancer, an initiative aimed at raising funds for cancer research. Renee Zellweger and Ryan Seacrest worked the phones at the live fund-raiser, while cancer survivor and mom-to-be Christina Applegate showed off her baby bump to pal Elizabeth Banks.
