FOR BREAKING CELEBRITY NEWS EVERY DAY People.COM
More than two years after REESE WITHERSPOON, 33, and JAKE GYLLENHAAL, 28, began dating, they seem to be proving the old adage that couples that play together stay together. On July 10 the two teamed up for a private spinning and weight class at Burn 60 in Brentwood, Calif. “She seemed so happy that he went with her,” says an onlooker. Two days later, a witness says, “Reese was in the best mood ever,” as they checked out indie rocker Jenny Lewis at the Hollywood Bowl. So why no engagement? “As much as everyone thinks they’re right there,” says a source, “they’re really not near the whole marriage thing.” Sure, they’ve “become a team,” adds the source, but Witherspoon’s mind-set seems to be, “Why screw that up?” Another source, who recently came right out and asked Witherspoon if she would be getting married soon, says the Oscar winner quickly—yet sweetly—replied, “No!”
IS GWYNETH A DETOXAHOLIC?
Gwyneth Paltrow is, ahem, cleaning house—again! Six months after using a liquid-meal-based plan she created with the help of detox expert Dr. Alejandro Junger, the actress, 36, is wrapping up yet another cleanse. “I am finishing the … three-week-long ‘Clean’ detox program,” she wrote on her Web site GOOP, “and I feel pure and happy and much lighter.” Unlike the lemon, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and water Master Cleanse—which she politely described as “not … pretty” after trying it last year—Junger’s “Clean” plan (detailed in his book, right) employs organic foods, sauna, baths and massage to stimulate the detoxification process. So what’s the verdict? Says Paltrow, who refrains from revealing her weight: “It worked wonders.”
Who Would You Rather Work Out With?
The Hills‘ Heidi Pratt will soon release The Heidi Workout, pitting her against fellow reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s Fit in Your Jeans by Friday fitness DVDs. Game on!
Six months after the death of their son Jett, 16, John Travolta, 55, and Kelly Preston, 46, are still lying low. Preston is filming in Georgia and will speak at a women’s conference in the fall. Meanwhile on July 11 and 12, Travolta had some solo R&R at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau resort, where he had a spa treatment, hit the whirlpool and had a quiet meal overlooking the ocean. “He looked chill,” an eyewitness tells Scoop, “yet wanted to be left alone.”
IS JASON MOVING IN WITH BRITNEY?
Britney Spears, 27, is indeed smitten with her agent and boyfriend Jason Trawick, 37, but a recent report claiming that Trawick is living with her is untrue. “They’re not there yet,” a source tells Scoop. “He’s not moving in.”
DID BRITNEY TELL KEVIN TO SLIM DOWN?
A report claims Spears has “put ex-hubby Kevin Federline on a diet” because of his expanding girth. But a rep for Federline, 31, says the story is false, adding, “He’s happy, focused on being a good father and on future projects he has in the works.”

TIM GUNN REVEALS …
Just when we thought we were “out!” Project Runway pulls us back in. After being shelved for six months while Bravo and Lifetime legally sparred over ownership, the show’s sixth season—packed with drama and divas—premieres Aug. 20 on Lifetime. Design mentor Tim Gunn gives PEOPLE an exclusive look at six of the season’s most noteworthy designers and standout characters. He wouldn’t say if the winner is among them but promises of the victor, “We will see a lot of this person.”
CAROL HANNAH WHITFIELD, 24
A self-taught designer with a degree in business administration, the South Carolina native is “pretty and bubbly,” says Gunn. “But in fact, she’s full of surprises.”
RA’MON-LAWRENCE COLEMAN, 31
“He is someone who is challenged by sticking to a decision once he makes it,” Gunn says of Coleman, who is a designer for Target’s Mossimo Black line. “I was constantly surprised.”
IRINA SHABAYEVA, 27
New York City
“I will say bluntly that Irina wasn’t the most popular designer in the workroom,” Gunn says of the Republic of Georgia native. “She’s ambitious and tenacious, and there’s a spirit of ‘Don’t get in my way, or else!'”
LOGAN NEITZEL, 26
He drives a ’67 Mustang, was a nationally ranked snowboarder and is “the daydream of the women and the gay men in the room,” says Gunn. “He has very little awareness of it, which makes it sweet.”
GORDANA GEHLHAUSEN, 45
“She’s the earth mother of the group,” says Gunn of the “dogged and determined” Yugoslavian designer, who also “has the dark, Eastern European rain clouds over her.”
CHRISTOPHER STRAUB, 30
Gunn says this self-taught contender is “known to shed tears. Tears of joy, tears of relief.” That’s not a bad thing: “He instills enthusiasm in whatever he’s doing. He was a nice counterpoint to Gordana.”
THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!
The cast of Entourage kicked off the HBO show’s sixth season at the Paramount Pictures lot in Los Angeles July 9—three days before the season premiere, with a preview of the first two episodes. Rex Lee was the first to hit the dance floor while Kevin Connolly caught up with costar Kevin Dillon and pal Tobey Maguire. Adrian Grenier, meanwhile, chatted with a bevy of females all night. So what can viewers expect? “Vince is gonna have a lot of love this season,” Grenier told Scoop of his ladies’ man character.
PICTURE PERFECT PALS
Style-savvy stars Sophia Bush, Brody Jenner, AnnaLynne McCord and Joel Madden (above) headed to Mel’s Drive-In in L.A. July 7 to celebrate Op’s new fall ad campaign, in which they appear (along with Solange Knowles and Cody Linley). Kim and Khloe Kardashian also stopped by and danced up a storm with The Hills‘ Stephanie Pratt.
• 7/11, Malibu: Lindsay Lohan had fun in the sun dancing to Michael Jackson tunes (and feverishly texting on her BlackBerry) at the Lia Sophia clambake. • 7/11, East Hampton: Renée Zellweger made it a girls’ night out at Lily Pond nightclub. “She dragged her whole group onto the dance floor,” says an onlooker. • 7/9, N.Y.C.: Drew Barrymore and Justin Long giggled their way through dinner at Center Cut in the Empire Hotel before realizing they were late and running out for the ballet at Lincoln Center across the street.
