Britney Spears & Jason Trawick
STILL GOING STRONG!
Despite reports to the contrary, nothing—and no one—was down while Down Under. Britney Spears, who was in Australia for a stop on her Circus tour, and her boyfriend of six months, agent Jason Trawick, 37, “are very happy; things are really good with them,” says a source close to the couple. The reports that she had proposed to Jason while they were there, and he turned her down, “are 100 percent false. There was no proposal and they were never engaged.” What is real is the affection Trawick shares with Spears’ sons Preston, 4, and Jayden, 3. “He cares a lot about them,” says the source, and at times they have even reportedly called him “Daddy,” even though her ex Kevin Federline is still very much a part of the boys’ life. While it’s true Spears and Trawick did spend Thanksgiving apart (she remained in Australia; he was home in L.A.), sparking more reports of rift, it wasn’t due to the singer’s furiously sending her beau home, as reported. “Jason spent more time in Australia than originally planned, so he really just couldn’t get back for Thanksgiving,” says the source. “Everyone forgets that he works really hard at his job; Britney isn’t the only client he needs to worry about. He has other people to focus on and get jobs for.” While there’s no trouble in paradise, a wedding isn’t exactly around the corner. “Not even close.” But never say never: “It’s come up just like in any relationship.”

DATE NIGHT WITH CASEY
JAMIE LYNN & CASEY
After giving birth to daughter Maddie in June 2008, Jamie Lynn Spears, 18, and the baby’s father, Casey Aldridge, 20, had their problems. But nearly a year and a half later, the two are now living together and are doing well. “She’s focused on motherhood,” a family friend tells Scoop.
HE’S LOST 30 POUNDS!
K-FED’S BIG WEIGHT LOSS
He’s on a roll—and lost one! Kevin Federline is preparing for his debut on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and “has been in a more positive place since he started losing weight,” says a source.
DRAMA WITH THE HASSELHOFFS
So much for a happy Thanksgiving weekend for David Hasselhoff and ex Pamela Bach. He was hospitalized again; she was arrested for a second DUI on Nov. 28. Hoff, a recovering alcoholic who’s been hospitalized at least four times in two years, denies a report that he was put in a psych ward. “If he was close to death, he wouldn’t be at home right now,” says his lawyer. But an America’s Got Talent source says he’s “an absolute mess. He’s really good at hiding his drinking.”
George & Elisabetta
LOVE ON THE ROAD
Almost daily between Nov. 13 to Nov. 23, Elisabetta Canalis, 31, drove 100 miles from Rome (where she cohosts Italian MTV’s TRL) to the Italian city of Sulmona, where her boyfriend of four months was shooting The American. Clooney, 48, made the same drive to dine with her Nov. 24, then days later they both made a quick trip to Mexico with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber before flying to L.A. for the Nov. 30 Up in the Air premiere.
What’s their sexiest scene?
The movie industry is abuzz with the casting of Angelina Jolie and possibly Johnny Depp in The Tourist (they’ll reportedly share a shower scene). The actors are no strangers to steamy movie moments—which is their hottest so far?

Nick Jonas, 17, is venturing out on his own with a band, Nick Jonas & The Administration. The youngest Jo Bro member plans a 14-city tour starting Jan. 2, and his new album, “Who I Am,” drops Feb. 2. Jonas Brothers fans need not fret—Nick assures Scoop this isn’t the end for the band of brothers.
What do Kevin and Joe think about your solo venture?
They’re my biggest supporters. This is a side project. It’s something that can coexist with the Jonas Brothers.
Nervous about performing without them?
I’ve never really stood center stage before. It’s going to be different, but I’m looking forward to it.
Can you explain your band’s name?
It’s a play on Elvis Costello and the Attractions. I’m a big Elvis Costello fan. It’s also [a nod to] my fascination with the Presidency.
Do you plan to run for President one day?
Possibly. We’ll see what happens. I guess this is kind of the start to my campaign.
MAKING A MOVE TO BROADWAY
No stranger to revivals (she belted her way to an Oscar for Chicago), Catherine Zeta-Jones, 40, is making her Broadway debut as Desiree Armfeldt in Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. To calm jitters, “I have a photo of my daughter Carys and son Dylan in my dressing room,” she tells People. “They are my lucky charms.”
Jude & Sienna
Exes Jude Law, 36, and Sienna Miller, 27, shared a bottle of red, a late-night pizza—and a passionate kiss at Italian eatery Emporio in N.Y.C. Nov. 26. “It was long and affectionate,” says a source. The couple, who split in 2006, arrived shortly after midnight and opted for a table up front. Law’s rep has said the actors (both were starring on Broadway this fall) are just meeting up “socially occasionally.” A rep for Miller had no comment.
IS JESSICA BACK IN THE GAME?
Five months after her birthday-eve breakup with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, 29, Jessica Simpson, also 29, is getting back into shape, and, a source says, “loving her workouts” with trainer Mike Alexander. Is she back in the dating game too? Despite August reports linking her to Washington Redskins QB Colt Brennan, 26 (inset), Simpson’s rep denies the rumors. New man or not, the source adds, “she’s great.”
THEY’RE STILL DATING
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
• 11/29, L.A.: Katie Holmes made it a family affair at the first inaugural Dizzy Feet Foundation gala—they provide dance scholarships to underprivileged kids. Suri (in pink glittery slippers) and Tom’s kids Connor and Isabella enjoyed the dancing entertainment.
• 11/24, L.A.: Kate Hudson and beau Alex Rodriguez worked up a sweat on the Santa Monica stairs. “A-Rod seemed impressed and kept giving her flirtatious looks and smiles,” says an onlooker. Two days later they had Thanksgiving dinner with her mom, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell and brother Oliver Hudson.
VAMPIRES TAKE THE NIGHT
Bloodsucking stars know how to party! Twilight‘s Peter Facinelli was in for a surprise Nov. 21 when wife Jennie Garth threw him an Elvis-themed 36th-b-day bash at L.A.’s Club L. He thought he was on the way to an autograph signing, but was surprised by pals for a night of Kahlua cocktails (his fave!). While not exactly a vampire—but dangerously close to them on True Blood—Ryan Kwanten turned 33 at the Palazzo’s Lavo Nov. 28. Four days earlier New Moon‘s Ashley Greene toasted her December Maxim cover in N.Y.C.
