Eva Longoria hints she and Tony Parker are through—but he says it’s not over yet
As breakups go, this one is hardly a slam dunk: On Sept. 29, Eva Longoria‘s camp announced her split—sort of—from her boyfriend of nearly two years, NBA star Tony Parker, 24. Officially, the two are going through a rough patch, struggling to make their long-distance romance work. (The actress, 31, is tied to L.A. with Desperate Housewives and Parker is based in San Antonio.) But according to a source close to Longoria, “It’s run its course. Eva’s totally breaking it off.” Team Tony immediately called foul on the story of trouble between the two, saying that Longoria was planning to join Parker in France, where he is playing exhibition games. A Longoria source insists “they are split,” but confirms she is planning to rendezvous with Parker in Paris. Who knows what romantic spell that city might cast?
ARE THEY DATING?
Longoria sat with Mario Lopez’s mom at Dancing with the Stars’ Oct. 3 taping wearing a black tee she made that read “Vote for Mario,” and recent reports suggest a romance between the two. No, says her rep: “They’ve been friends forever. He is like a brother to her.”
Rebound alert? The newly single Bloom was spotted partying with Cruz at L.A.’s Hyde Lounge on Sept. 24 and again on the 26th (after the two attended a screening of her new film Volver). “They were laughing together,” says one witness. “They looked very comfortable with one another.” Her rep insists, “They are not dating.”
Kate Bosworth & James Rousseau
Orlando Bloom‘s ex has found a new man—and her appetite. Lunching at N.Y.C.’s Tea & Sympathy Sept. 30, the rail-thin Bosworth cuddled with her male-model beau as she downed gravy-covered bangers and mash (that’s sausages and potatoes to non-Brits). Cheers!
Alanis Morissette & Ryan Reynolds
You oughta know: Morissette and Reynolds are together again. They called off their two-year engagement in June, sources said, but within weeks they were seen walking in Vancouver, holding hands in L.A. and, on Oct. 1, kissing in N.Y.C. It was “definitely a romantic kiss,” says a witness. Reps had no comment.
Ivanka Trump & Lance Armstrong
So much for Armstrong’s Tour de Trump. Sources say that the cycling champ and Apprentice star—who met at an L.A. charity event this summer—went on “several dates.” (His rep denies reports of a romance.) But it seems the fledgling relationship never got out of first gear. One pal says Trump hasn’t seen Armstrong in a month. Trump herself tells Scoop, “We’re just friends.”
LOVE ME TENDER?
Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley have both been dead for decades, but they still make headlines. Retired Hollywood agent Byron Raphael recently told the New York Post that he orchestrated a one-night stand for the two icons in 1956. “Nice girl,” Presley allegedly told his agent pal, “but a little tall for me.”
It seemed like only yesterday Donna Martin graduated from West Beverly. Now the Beverly Hills, 90210 star is going to be a mom. Tori Spelling, 33, is expecting a child with actor husband Dean McDermott, 39, a close friend confirms to Scoop, adding, “They’re so excited!” This will be the first child for 14-weeks-pregnant Spelling, but she already has parenting experience. Since the couple’s May wedding in Fiji, she’s been stepmother to McDermott’s son Jack, 8, by ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace. “He and Dean and I call ourselves the Three Amigos,” Spelling said earlier this year.
SEPARATED AT BALLROOM: STACY KEIBLER AND KYM JOHNSON
With her mile-long legs and million-dollar smile, Jerry Springer’s professional partner Kym Johnson bears a striking resemblance to last season’s breakout star Stacy Keibler. How does the dance pro feel about the celeb comparison? “I’ve been told that many times, and it’s very flattering.” Johnson (who’s new to the show this season) tells Scoop, “She’s a beautiful woman.”
T-shirt ban! On Oct. 3, producers asked audience members to observe the show’s formal dress code: no “vote for” hats, buttons or tees. (Didn’t Eva Longoria get the memo?) … After Monique Coleman’s emotional dance, the show cut to a commercial, but the actress couldn’t stop the tears. Her partner Louis Van Amstel comforted her … Tough judge Len Goodman called Jerry Springer’s waltz “a delight.” Springer, who has said he wanted to learn the dance for his daughter’s upcoming wedding, called it “my king-of-the-world moment.” He told Scoop, “Tonight, I danced for an audience of one.”
MISCHA’S FUNKY FASHION
Ever since Mischa Barton returned from her summer in England, the chic actress, 20, has shown a bold new sense of style. Among her looks are baggy shorts, gold lamé and … double-breasted skirts. Fashion-forward statements—or faux pas? To comment, go to People.com/stylewatch.

CLEARING THE AIR
Jane Fonda has conquered film, books and workout videos. What’s next? Talk radio
Add this to her actress-activist-aerobics queen résumé: radio mogul. Jane Fonda, 68, and pal Gloria Steinem just launched GreenStone Media, the first national radio network run by and aimed at women. Fonda—who recently wrapped Georgia Rule with Lindsay Lohan—chats with Scoop.
Why go into radio now?
It’s the most democratic media and also very well suited to people who multitask—you can drive kids to school and listen. We’re going to be as edgy as you can be with kids in the car.
What do women want on the radio?
They want current events, global issues … they want to laugh. Laughter isn’t superficial.
Are young stars today less political than when you started out?
There’s a number reaching out to me, to Gloria, to talk about issues. I’ve worked with two of them, Jennifer Lopez and Lindsay Lohan. But the [media’s] focus on celebrity is huge compared to when I was coming up.
How was it playing Lindsay’s grandma?
It [was a] good, multidimensional role, which doesn’t come along so often when you’ve got wrinkles. That’s okay. I like playing supporting roles. Maybe because I’m basically lazy.
At a recent Center for the Advancement of Women event, the buzz was about how great you look. Odd, at a feminist gathering?
Oh, that’s good…. It’s encouraging for women to see we can still have some juice. There’s nothing nonfeminist about that.
What’s your workout these days?
I’ve just had a new hip put in, so I don’t do much. Titanium—I make the beeper go off in airport security.
New York just got a branch of Ted’s Montana Grill, the chain owned by your ex-husband Ted Turner. Ever been?
It’s fabulous, we have lunch. [I meet] Ted at Ted’s. I have a bison burger or bison meatloaf.
