Prince George and Princess Charlotte aren’t the only ones breaking out the crayons at Anmer Hall.

On Tuesday Prince William revealed that Princess Kate is aboard the adult-coloring trend while awarding one of Queen Elizabeth’s  honors to illustrator Johanna Basford at Buckingham Palace. She was given the OBE for services to art and entrepreneurship.

“Prince William actually said that his wife likes to color in Secret Garden, which was really sweet,” Basford told the Press Association after the ceremony of her bestseller.

“I’m working on a new book just now and it’s set in a castle, funnily enough, so I will definitely try to remember everything,” she told reporters. “I’m sure little snippets of today will feature in the book.”

The pasttime has been known to relax and calm, quietly replacing the stress of digital screens that takes up so much of peoples’ lives. The artist added, “I think people are just craving a digital detox.”

Kate, who studied art history at St. Andrews University, is also a champion of art therapy, especially for children to improve mental health in schools.

In a rare and happy coincidence, the artist’s husband James Watt was also being awarded on the same ceremony. The co-owner of BrewDog picked up an an MBE for services to the brewing industry.

Referring to Kate and William, Basford, joked, “So maybe she’s a fan of my work and he’s a fan of my husband’s.”
