Too bad that TV feels it has to make all its movies two hours long. If this one had been cut to 90 minutes, it may not have lost its punch. Nancy (The Facts of Life) McKeon plays a teen mother who gives her baby up for adoption, then changes her mind. Lindsay Wagner and Chris (Fright Night) Sarandon raise the child for more than a year and fight to keep her. The show gives you more fine points of law than of human emotion; it feels flat. Still, when you see the beautiful child in the middle, you know why people would fight for her. The situation is compelling even if the movie too often isn’t.
