“We Are Family”

The 1979 Sister Sledge anthem gets an all-star revamp on a new single benefiting victims of Hurricane Katrina. Produced by hitmaker Rodney Jerkins (Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige), the song unites the voices of Patti LaBelle, Ciara, Chris Brown and Christina Milian, in addition to the original members of Sister Sledge. “It is very special for us to come together now,” says Kathy Sledge, lead singer of the reunited group. “We stand for that song. It has come to be about the universal family.”
