Corporal Klinger’s M*A*S*H-notes went to 60 Minutes, The China Syndrome (“I couldn’t fall asleep afterward”), Love at First Bite (“Pure escapism done very well”) and a perennial, the dictionary, which “helps me understand Howard Cosell.” Farr chided pal Chuck Barris for uncorking Three’s a Crowd, a syndicated series pitting secretaries against their bosses’ spouses. Instead of “C-Barris,” it should be an “M-Barris” production, quips Jamie. He gave up diet books—”All they make you lose is your money.”
