VCRs, TVs, CDs and the whole electronic alphabet are robbing kids today of the tacky joy of drive-in theaters: those hokey cartoons begging you to rush to the snack bar, those cruddy hot dogs with the life steamed out of them, those steamy windows in all the teen-mobiles. The drive-in, born in 1933, is dying already. But thanks to this delightful documentary about them, you can recall the simple pleasure of in-car speakers and show the kids what dating used to be like.
