Patrick Lovato, the father of singer Demi Lovato, has died. The X Factor judge, 20, acknowledged Patrick’s passing by tweeting on June 23, “I feel so humbled to have had so much support from my fans, friends, family and complete strangers.” Demi had been estranged from her dad since 2007. Her song “For the Love of a Daughter” from her album Unbroken reflected their strained relationship. • Bobby “Blue” Bland, a prolific soul and blues singer who sang the hit classic “Turn on Your Love Light,” died of complications from an ongoing illness in Germantown, Tenn., on June 23. He was 83. Bland was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1981.
Star Wars creator George Lucas, 69, said “I do” to DreamWorks Animation chairwoman Mellody Hobson, 44, on June 22 at his Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, Calif., in front of 200 guests including Oprah Winfrey, Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg. The ceremony, said to be designed by Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove, featured a gospel choir. This is Lucas’s second marriage and Hobson’s first. • The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes (inset), 46, remarried her ex-husband Gregg Leakes, 58, at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta on June 22. The ceremony was filmed for her upcoming Bravo spinoff series I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding. The Glee actress and the real estate investor first wed in 1997 and split in 2010. They became re-engaged last New Year’s Eve.

Celebrity stylist and fashion designer Rachel Zoe is pregnant with her second child, sources confirmed to PEOPLE. Zoe, 41, and her husband, businessman Rodger Berman, 44, are already parents to 2-year-old son Skyler. The pair have been married since 1996. • CNN’s Erin Burnett is going to be a first-time mother. The Erin Burnett OutFront host, 37, is expecting a baby in November with her husband of six months, David Rubulotta, 43, a managing director at Citigroup. “I’m so excited,” she told PEOPLE. “We’ve always wanted this, and we’re very lucky.”
Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford, 44, has filed for bankruptcy due to a child-custody battle with her ex-husband, entrepreneur Daniel Giersch, 39. According to legal documents, the star spent almost $1.5 million on legal fees in the wake of her 2010 divorce and the fight over the couple’s two children, Hermès, 6, and Helena, 4. The kids live in Monaco with Giersch, who was banned from returning to the U.S. because of a revoked visa.
