German model Claudia Schiffer, 34, gave birth to a baby girl Nov. 11 in a London hospital. She and her husband, British movie producer Matthew Vaughn (Snatch), 33, who also have a 22-month-old son, Casper, have not disclosed the tot’s name…. Actress Laurel Holloman, 36, the star of Showtime’s The L Word, and her husband, production designer Paul Macherey, 36, had their first child, daughter Lola, Nov. 4 in Vancouver, B.C.

Liza Minnelli’s former bodyguard and chauffeur, M’Hammed Soumayah, sued the singer for battery, assault and breach of contract Nov. 9 in Manhattan. Soumayah, 56, who is seeking more than S100 million in damages, claims that Minnelli, 58, beat him and forced him to have sex with her in order to keep his job. The same day, Minnelli countersued for at least $250,000, charging Soumayah with breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. The star’s attorney did not return calls for comment.
Nancy Johnsen sued comedian Bill Maher, 48, for palimony Nov. 10 in L.A. Johnsen, a former model, said she gave up her 12-year job as a flight attendant when Maher, the host of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, promised to marry her and buy her a Beverly Hills mansion. Johnsen, who is seeking $9 million, says she ended their 17-month relationship in May, after Maher became physically and verbally abusive. A lawyer for Maher called the suit “completely frivolous.”… On Nov. 12 in L.A., photographers Saul Lazo and Jose Gonzalez sued Cameron Diaz, 32, and Justin Timberlake, 23, for assault and battery. Lazo and Gonzalez claim the couple harassed and attacked them when the photographers tried to take pictures of the stars leaving Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel earlier this month. Reps for Diaz and Timberlake say they were “ambushed” by the photographers “on a dark, deserted street,” and acted in self-defense.
Rapper ODB, a founding member of the innovative hip-hop group the Wu-Tang Clan, died inside a Manhattan recording studio Nov. 13 after complaining of chest pains earlier that day. Born Russell Jones, ODB (short for 0l’ Dirty Bastard), 35, was known for his unique rhymes and wild lifestyle. At press time, the cause of death was unknown….. Historian Iris Chang, 36, whose 1997 book The Rape of Nanking: The Forgotten Holocaust of World War II was an international bestseller, was found dead in her car in Los Gatos, Calif., Nov. 9, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Chang had recently been treated for depression.
