Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams, 23, proposed to Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, also 23, May 10 in New York City. The couple, who have been an item for six months, have yet to set a wedding date.


In front of mo re than 600 guests, including members of many European royal families, Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik, 35, and Mary Donaldson, 32, an Australian, were married in a Copenhagen cathedral May 14. Hundreds of thousands of well-wishers lined the streets to cheer on the newlyweds….

Actor-singer Mandy Patinkin, 51, had surgery May 14 in New York City to remove his prostate, following a recent cancer diagnosis. A doctor said the actor’s prognosis is very good. He’s expected to miss only two weeks of filming the Showtime series Dead Like Me….

Evangelist Billy Graham, 85, was admitted to an Asheville, N.C., hospital May 14 after falling at his nearby home. Graham is in fair condition with a pelvic fracture.


Sylvester Stallone, 57,sued MGM and other producers of an upcoming boxing reality TV series, titled The Real Rocky, for fraud. In the suit filed May 13 in L.A., Stallone alleges that the project is improperly associated with the actor’s Rocky character. A rep for MGM said the suit is “sad and without merit.”


On May 17 in Manhattan. actors Al Pacino, 64, and Beverly D’Angelo, 52, reached a settlement in their bitter custody battle over their 3-year-old twins (PEOPLE, Feb. 24,2003). Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The couple split in 2003 after a six-year relationship.


British-born Anna Lee, 91, whose 70-year career included a breakthrough role in 1941’s How Green Was My Valley?, died of pneumonia May 14 in LA. Lee, who was paralyzed from the waist down in a 1982 accident, played Lila Quartermaine on General Hospital for more than two decades until her retirement from the soap opera last year.
