Citing irreconcilable differences, actress Teri Hatcher, 38, who starred in ABC’s Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, filed for divorce from her husband of eight years, actor Jon Tenney (You Can Count on Me), 41, on Feb. 28 in L.A. The couple have agreed to joint custody of their 5-year-old daughter Emerson Rose.
On March 9 singer Diana Ross, 58, was ticketed by police in Greenwich, Conn., for driving a car with an expired registration. Ross, who has pleaded not guilty to a Dec. 30 DUI arrest in Phoenix, was issued a $78 fine.
Crossing Jordan star Jill Hennessy, 34, and her husband of two years, actor Paolo Mastropietro (Exit Wounds), 37, are expecting their first child in mid-October.
Prince Charles, 54, recently suffered a hernia while working in the garden at his country estate in Gloucestershire, England. A spokesman said the prince was in “considerable pain” and that he would have surgery to correct the problem on March 28.
Actress Bridget Fonda, 39, and Oscar-nominated film composer Danny Elfman (Men in Black), 49, plan to wed. It will be Fonda’s first marriage, the second for Elfman….

On March 11 in London, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, 28, agreed to pay $88,000 to settle a slander suit filed by three memorabilia-shop owners. In March 2001 Beckham accused Tim, Glynis and Anthony McManus of Kent, England, of selling a fake autographed photo of her husband, soccer star David Beckham. Her charges were subsequently reprinted in English newspapers. In addition to the payment, the singer also apologized for the “hurt and damage” that the McManuses suffered.
Comedian George Miller, 61, who made 56 appearances on David Letterman’s late-night shows—more than any other comic—died on March 5 in L.A. after a long struggle with leukemia. “George was my oldest friend and one of the funniest people I ever knew,” said Letterman….
British pop star Adam Faith, 62, died of a heart attack on March 8 in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Faith, who had more than 20 British hits in the late ’50s and early ’60s, later became a movie and TV actor in England.
