Glaser has a son, Jake, 13, from his first marriage, to the late Elizabeth Glaser, cofounder of the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, who died of AIDS in 1994. Author James A. Michener, 90, who is suffering from congestive heart failure, was reported to be in stable condition and resting at his Austin, Texas, home earlier this week. Michener recently made the decision to go off a kidney dialysis machine that had helped reduce the strain on his heart over the past several years. A family friend said in a statement, “Mr. Michener is undergoing evaluations. He is perfectly well and comfortable.”…
