As they await the remodel of their Bel Air dream home, Kim and Kanye will rent a place together—then take the baby on tour—but for now, they’re spending time with Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner (far left, on a movie date with Kanye, June 27) at her house (left) in Hidden Hills, Calif. “Kim has everything she needs right there for her, and North has everything you could imagine!” says a friend. “It’s a great, safe home base.”

She’s less than 3 weeks old, but Kim Kardashian‘s daughter North “Nori” West already has fans. “Kourtney and Khloe are obsessed!” says a close pal. “Kourtney’s been great with advice, from baby gear to reassuring Kim in all her decisions. The family is really supportive.” And after spending an entire week in the hospital after North’s June 15 birth, new parents Kim, 32, and Kanye West, 36, are finally settling into their new life. “Kim’s been bonding with the baby; breast-feeding is their special time together,” says the pal. North has a nanny, but at Grandma Kris Jenner’s Hidden Hills home, where they’ve set up camp while their $11 million Bel Air home is renovated, “there’s not exactly a shortage of people to help out!” the source adds. Since North arrived about three weeks early, the couple didn’t have a chance to finish her nursery (see box), but “Kim and Kanye have been really relaxed,” adds a second friend. And Kanye has already taken to his new role as father. “He wants to know how to do everything and be able to hold and soothe her,” says the close friend. “He’s been documenting everything. He doesn’t want to miss a moment.” According to a music source, it was Dad who was “set” on the name North – which Kris says refers to the couple’s “highest point.” And West, who will go on tour in October, hasn’t held back spoiling his budding fashionista. “He bought the sweetest clothes – Baby Gucci, Dior. You name it,” says the close friend. “Her wardrobe is insane!”

How She’ll Lose the Weight

“Kim worked out all through her pregnancy,” says a pal. But now Kardashian (on June 8) is ready to get her figure back. “She’s realistic,” says the pal, noting that she’ll take her time losing the weight. “It’s important to her, but she knows that with hard work she’ll have it back.” For now, she’s eating a clean diet of salads, sushi, fruits and veggies made by a chef on staff and “hopes breast-feeding will help shed some weight too,” adds the source. Once doctors give the okay (most advise waiting at least six weeks), she’ll hit the gym. Says her trainer Tracy Anderson: “She needs to let her body heal first.”
