Due in November, Jennifer Garner made off with a bundle of baby gifts from some of her closest friends Oct. 23 at the Hollywood Hills home of her pal, Yes, Dear’s Jean Louisa Kelly. Many of the gifts came wrapped in pink; Garner let it slip a few weeks ago that she and husband Ben Affleck are expecting a girl. Guests at the casual affair munched on cupcakes, and the whole thing was, according to a source, “very intimate and sweet.”

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams‘s delicious chemistry in 2004’s The Notebook has moved offscreen. At the Teen Choice Awards in August, the two seemed very cozy. Then on Oct. 21, for the second time in a week, they shopped for DVDs at L.A.’s Virgin Megastore. “They were so cute,” says an onlooker. “They kept whispering, canoodling, smiling and laughing.” Later at a market, Ryan rode a grocery cart in the parking lot and they bought a bouquet of flowers. Aww…

No, Pink and Carey Hart haven’t wed yet—but Insider hears they set a date for early 2006. Aside from their taste in tattoos—they both have “Tru Luv” inked on their wrists—Hart says humility binds them. “I ride dirt bikes, she sings; but I’m still the same white-trash kid, and she’s the same girl from Philly,” Hart says. “And we won’t do a TV show about [us]. That right there is a recipe for disaster.”

Melania Knauss admitted she likes Lotsa de Casha at the 250th-anniversary party for luxury-watch brand Vacheron Constantin Oct. 24. No, not hubby-Donald-level money—Madonna‘s children’s book Lotsa de Casha. “That and The English Roses are really nice and educational for children,” said Melania, who will share the stories with her baby, due in March. Melania tells Insider that the Littlest Trump is already kicking, the nursery is mainly white, and The Donald will get a break on daddy duties. “I don’t expect he’ll change diapers or walk down Fifth Avenue with the stroller,” she says. “But he’ll be a fantastic dad. I don’t worry about that.”
