Hollywood’s newest hot spot? The Belmont restaurant and bar, especially on a Wednesday, which is karaoke night. Regulars include George Clooney and Cameron Diaz. On Feb. 26 Luke Wilson got cozy with hotel heiress Paris Hilton in one corner while Leonardo DiCaprio held court with six buddies across the room. Unlike his friends, DiCaprio didn’t take the mike. But he happily chatted with anyone who would listen about his electric-gas hybrid car. One of our spies picked up on Leo’s penchant for peeling the labels off his water bottles—just like his character did in Catch Me If You Can.

Mira Sorvino and her boyfriend of four years, French heart-throb Olivier Martinez (Unfaithful), have split up. “They still care deeply about each other,” says a friend of the former couple’s, “but at some point you have to move on if you’re not going to marry.” Last week Martinez was spotted squiring Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue to lunch at the Ivy in Beverly Hills, prompting speculation that the two have formed a new international union. However, reps for both stars say that the two are just friends.

Since last summer Dominic Chianese—better known as The Sopranos’ Uncle Junior—has spent every Monday night playing guitar and singing at Sofia’s Restaurant in Manhattan. On Feb. 24 Chianese, who released a CD that included traditional Italian songs in 2001, was performing as usual when, one by one, a bunch of his high-profile friends visited to wish him a happy 72nd birthday. Among those who paid their respects: Chazz Palminteri, Sopranos costar Steven Van Zandt and Nancy Sinatra. But all eyes turned when Al Pacino showed up with his on-again/off-again love Beverly D’Angelo. The couple are currently locked in a custody battle over their 2-year-old twins. Pacino and Chianese are old goombas who have made a number of films together.

Who was that ice-bound man of mystery? Skaters at Aspen’s Silver Circle outdoor rink got an unexpected surprise last week when Mike Myers dropped by and started a pickup hockey game. The actor and self-proclaimed hockey nut was in town to accept an award at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival when he decided to get in some unscheduled ice time. At one point, Myers told us at a Maxim party in Aspen, he even gave skating tips to a local doctor. (Afterward the man called a friend on his cell phone and yelled, “You’ll never guess who’s teaching me to skate!”) Nancy Sabel, the rink manager, told Myers that he had an instructor’s job waiting for him the second he decided to quit that Hollywood thing.

Jennifer Aniston was the last Friend to see Turnaround, the much-buzzed-about L.A. play starring David Schwimmer and Tom Everett Scott. Aniston dropped in on March 2, which marked Schwimmer’s and Scott’s final performances in the production. (Good Morning, Miami’s Mark Feuerstein and The Recruit’s Gabriel Macht will take over the roles.) Schwimmer, who earns $1 million a week on Friends, garnered rave reviews for the play but not much money: His pay topped out at $10 a night.
