At the June 18 L.A. premiere for the new sequel Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, the film’s costar Drew Barrymore gleefully gave away the movie’s plot when she declared, “We still get to be women and love men, and at the end of the day we take down the evil people!” Was this a surprise? Barrymore’s costar Cameron Diaz arrived without her new guy pal, Justin Timberlake, but Demi Moore showed up with her boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher—along with ex-husband Bruce Willis and their three kids. (For more on Diaz and Moore’s romantic adventures, see pages 56-57.) The Angels themselves are “like a family,” said Lucy Liu, throwing an arm around Diaz’s waist. “We’ve been traveling around the world, and when we’re in town we go to concerts and movies. We just hang out.” Evil people, beware.
IN PRAISE OF YOUNGER MEN
Whatever they were drinking on the set of Charlie’s Angel’s: Full Throttle should be bottled and sold at concession stands. First Demi Moore lands hunk-of-the-moment Ashton Kutcher. Now Cameron Diaz, 31, who recently ended a four-year relationship with actor-musician Jared Leto, also 31, is locking lips with 22-year-old teen pop idol Justin Timberlake. After heating up nightclubs in L.A. in April, the two spent much of May apart while he toured in England and she vacationed in Hawaii. But the morning after the Throttle premiere, they were back nuzzling outside her Hollywood Hills home. Later that night they arrived with a group of pals at the Sports Center Bowl in Studio City, where they threw some strikes, drank some sodas and reportedly ended the night with take-out sushi.
Is Britney Spears‘s ex—who has also been linked to former Spice Girl Emma Bunton and Alyssa Milano—settling down? Don’t count on it. After a concert in Las Vegas on June 21, the singer partied sans Diaz at Rain nightclub until 5 a.m. One of his backup dancers treated him to a lap dance. Still, says one observer, “girls were flirting with him, but he was not giving attention to any one special girl.” In other words, he was an absolute angel.
ANGEL IN LOVE
NOPE, NOTHING AWKWARD ABOUT THIS
ALL IN THE FAMILY
Demi Moore knows how to make an entrance. On June 18 she brought her three daughters and Ashton Kutcher, her 25-year-old beau, to the Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle premiere in L.A. But why bring one leading man when you can have two? Also on hand was ex-husband Bruce Willis, who has a cameo in the film. At the afterparty, Willis sat near Moore while she perched on Kutcher’s lap. When a guest asked how everything was going, Moore said, “It’s soooo good.” Her adventures continued a few days later in New York City.
