Tasked with playing a guy who’s both a shrewd guardian and a boozy bumbler, “it was my objective to give the character as much comedy as I could without it seeming not to fit,” Harrelson told the Los Angeles Times.
“He has a quiet intensity,” says Kravitz of Cinna. “He knows that Katniss’s image has a lot to do with her survival. It’s about creating an impression so that she’ll have confidence and also so that the viewers of the Games will like her.”
