After spending 18 of the last 21 months pregnant, Britney Spears was “so excited about just getting my body back,” she told PEOPLE in August. From the looks of her first public outing since giving birth to baby No. 2—son Sutton Pierce, who arrived Sept. 12—the pop star is already well on her way. As she headed to L.A.’s trendy Planet Blue Boutique on Oct. 15 for a post-maternity shopping blitz, Spears strutted her stuff in low-slung jeans, a fitted sweater vest and peep-toe pumps. With her expected appearance at husband Kevin Federline‘s Oct. 31 album-release party, she is no doubt sticking to her plan of a low-carb diet (no more of the melted Hershey bars she craved while expecting) and working out with a trainer “probably every day—I’m sure it will be crazy. I love a lot of cardio, Tae Bo, boxing; it’s going to be a combination of everything.” One thing’s for certain: She isn’t getting any pressure at home to slim down. “No matter what,” Federline says, “my wife always looks beautiful.”
