“With Destiny’s Child, it was always difficult because there were three of us with three different body types. [Dressing alike] was great for teenagers because we were really trendy then … which means I look at some of the pictures now and I’m mortified. Now I’m growing and maturing and a lot of the things I’m attracted to feel more modern and chic.”

House of Deréon’s New Dresses
Beyoncé and mom Tina Knowles have launched a capsule collection of vintage-inspired dresses at Bloomingdale’s for House of Deréon. The line, based on the ’50s-style pieces Beyoncé wears as Etta James in the upcoming film Cadillac Records, is “for someone classic and elegant,” says Beyoncé. “Someone who wants to have something sexy that hugs the body in the right places.”
