“Each piece had to speak to her,” says King.
“She loved the plate and hung it on the wall of her bedroom,” says King. “She kept the owl jug in the dining room.”

“She traveled a lot and loved Louis Vuitton,” says King. “Some of the pieces are monogrammed.”
“Traveling to Africa with Humphrey Bogart for The African Queen heightened her awareness of tribal pieces,” King says.
“She already owned the camel” and had it made into a brooch, says King.
