“In first grade, when they asked us what we wanted to be and all the kids were writing ‘doctor’ and ‘astronaut,'” says Roberts, “I always wrote ‘actress.'” Being Julia Roberts‘s niece didn’t hurt. “I was on location for Erin Brockovich, America’s Sweethearts, Ocean’s Eleven and The Mexican,” says Roberts, whose dad is actor Eric Roberts. “And yes, I got to meet Brad Pitt—he’s so awesome.”
WHAT’S UP, CUZ?
Emma says she and Julia “don’t really talk about Hollywood stuff.” Besides, Emma would rather book time with her twin cousins Phinnaeus and Hazel, now 15 months. “I don’t really have time to babysit, but I hang out with them. They’re both adorable,” she says. So does Hazel take after a certain beautiful superstar? Yes, says Roberts, she “looks like a little Dakota Fanning.”
NEXT STOP NANCY DREW
After filming Aquamarine, out March 3, in Australia, the young actress—who also appears in the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous —returned home to start shooting Nancy Drew: The Mystery in Hollywood Hills, in which she’ll play the crime-solving sleuth. Adult fans of the book will be happy to know that while times have changed, the character hasn’t. Says Roberts: “She’ll say stuff like, ‘See you in a jiffy!'”
