The Modern Family bombshell calls her thrice-weekly cardio and glute workouts “torture.” But the actress loves the results, especially when she’s seen with her son Manolo, 20. “He hates it if I’m with him and someone says, ‘Oh, tell your sister to come,’ and I don’t correct them,” she has said. “He’s like, ‘Tell them you’re my mom!’ But I don’t.”

“I incorporate exercise into my family [life] every day,” says the mom of three. But the star avoids mixing kiddie fare with her diet. “She likes to bake with her kids, but she can have just half a cookie,” says her trainer Valerie Waters. “She has amazingly strong discipline.”

“I was worried to turn 40,” admits the goop.com founder. But after celebrating her banner year in September, “I’m excited for what lies ahead.” Now she’s confident enough to put her own fresh face forward on the red carpet. (“She wears less and less foundation each time,” says her makeup artist Leslie Lopez.) But she hasn’t lightened up on her workouts with trainer Tracy Anderson. Says Paltrow: “After two kids I look better now than I did when I was 22!”
‘I FEEL BETTER AT 40 THAN I DID AT 25’
“For the first time in my life, I’m content,” Diaz told Esquire UK about her 40s. “I know myself better.” She’s also dedicated to a strict workout regimen (she breaks a sweat four to six times a week) and diet (she cut back on pasta and white bread in her late 30s). “She works hard and continues to get better with age,” says her trainer Teddy Bass.

The actress’s antiaging beauty secret? “I drink a gallon of water a day,” she says. “That keeps my skin and hair going strong.” Keeping the rest of her body in tip-top shape is another story. “I wish there was some new magical workout,” she says. “But I just stick to running.”
